Apostle Jude, also known as Thaddeus, was one of the twelve Apostles called by Jesus at the start of His public ministry. He is generally identified as Thaddeus and is also variously called Judas, Judas of James, Lebbaeus or Jude of James. He is clearly distinguished from Judas Iscariot, another disciple who betrayed Jesus. Jude is the patron saint of hopeless cases and his attribute is a club or a flame.
