Saint Simon

Saint Simon the Apostle, also known as Simon the Zealot, was one of the original twelve apostles of Jesus. He is venerated by the Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Churches, Oriental Orthodox Churches, and other Christian denominations. He is regarded as a patron saint of saw workers and tanners. His feast day is celebrated on October 28th in the Western Church. He was an ardent follower of Jewish law and tradition and was called to be an apostle when he was twenty-eight years old.
